Thursday November 4, 2004 I will leaving Sydney at 20:50 and arriving in Darwin at 23:50. I will spend the night at the Darwin YHA.Friday November 5, 2004, 2004 I will be having a short sleep as I have to get up at 7 am for my 2 day trip with Kakadu Dreams. On the Jumping Croc cruise I will get to see crocodiles in their natural habitat. I will be eating lunch at the Bark Hut Inn, an outback pub with emu and Buffalo on the menu. At Nourlangie Rock Artsite I will get to view 20, 000 years of Aboriginal art. More aborginal at the Ubirr Artsite and a hike up some sandstone and I will get 360 degree views of East Alligator flood plains and Arnhemland. At Gubara or Boralba springs I will get to take a 6 km hike through their cave system and go for a swim in some fresh water springs. Another 600m climb up Nawurlandka. For the night we setup our Bush camp with BBQ, Didgeridoo lessons and story telling. | ||

Saturday November 6, 2004 I start the day heading for Yumikmilk or Motorcar Creek Falls. The day will mostly consist of a full day hike through the monsoonal rainforest where I will see plenty of wildlife and be able to swim in some waterfalls. I get back to Darwin at 8 pm.Sunday November 7, 2004 Even an earlier start at 5:30 am. The first day with the Oz Experience tour as we head by bus to Katherine. We get to canoe at Katherine Gorge and see Edith Falls and Adelaide river. I will spend the night camped out at a Katherine camp site.Monday November 8, 2004 Travelling from Katherine (7am start) to Juno we get to see Daly Waters the oldest pub in the Northern Territory. We also go to Mataranka 'never never country' and relax in the Thermal pools. We spend the night at Juno House Farm.Tuesday November 9, 2004 I head on to Alice Springs and leave Juno House Farm at 6 am. We get to stop at the Tropic of Capricorn and see Devils marbles which are three mysterious formations. They are part of the Aboriginal Dreamtime story and are supposed to be eggs from the rainbow serpent. I get to swim again at the Mary Ann Dam. Also go on a tour of a Battery Stamp Mine which was a former gold mine. Also get to go to Banka Banka cattle station and meet some ringers. Arrive in Alice Springs to sleep.Wednesday November 10, 2004 Rest Day. After the exhausting tour Kakadu and the trek up to Alice Springs I get to take it easy today.Thursday November 11, 2004 First Day of my Uluru (Ayer's Rock) tour. I also get to see Watarrka (King's Canyon) and Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). The first night I will be camping out again with my trustworthy sleeping bag.Friday November 12, 2004 Second day of Uluru tour. The Uluru rock is largest rock on Earth and is a spiritual site to the aboriginals.Saturday November 13, 2004 First Day of trip to Cairns as I have a super early start at 5:30-6 am. I head off to Boulia and through the 700 km Plenty highway.Most amazing will be able to see the Cathedral Termite Mounds which were constructed by the largest insects on Earth and are up to 100 years old. I will go through the Aussie tornado alley and visit the Atitijere aboriginal community. Also I get to see the Min Min light which is mysterious ball of light people see at night. I will spend the night in Boulia.Sunday November 13, 2004 I depart at 6:30 am from the Australian hotel. I go to the small town of Winton which is the home of Waltzing Matilda. We see 2 musuems; Bango Patterson's Waltzing Matilda, and Qantildon musuem dedicated to Qantas where is where Qantas started. Lunch will be at Carrisbrooke Station and more aborignal art to see at Python Gorge. I spend the night in Hughenden and the Grand Hotel won a prize for Best Looking Hotel in 2002 for the Queensland region. Probably not much competiton. Highlights from this day include seeing Atherton Tabelands which has a rainforest and an active volcano. I get to see Millaream Falls and take a swim in Pyramid springs which is in Porcupine Gorge.
