Some pics about Alberta's prosperity cheques have surfaced on the internet. Looking at the message it
definately shows the true side of Alberta conservatives. If the liberals win the next election again some of these nut cases probably will push for separtism.

In the US Bush's nominee for the supreme court has withdrawn her nomination. With no experience as a judge even moderate republicans have had enough and don't care about the party line.

Also in this book I am reading Dancing with Strangers it talks about the domestic life of early Australian aboriginals. They beat their wives. Not just in the sense of a black eye or a broken arm. But direct blows to the head. They used axes, rocks, or any heavy object to give their spouse a massive head wound when they weren't happy with them. Often when they choose their wife they would just up to her and take her. Some of the women did fight back with (surprise) serious blows to the head. The British reaction was predictibably
"All My Goodness" (Some horrible stuff happened to the Australian native people but they have a dark past too.)
